ROOTS...

Inspiration:    Isaiah 6:3-4

I have this plant on a pot. Ang usbong nya (Its sprout), one stem with one leaf, 2-1/2” x 1-1/2” small, color green on the side and red violet in the middle.

One time, all the leaves withered and it had no new sprout. I thought it was dead. I almost removed its soil. But I changed my mind thinking the roots may still be okay, so I still watered it every day.

Then one day, a tiny leaf sprung and it grew. I was so happy I didn’t give up on it…

You know what? God is like that to us. I believe that He had planted a good seed deep with us that it grew roots. At times it has many sprouts, at times none at all, but the roots remain…

Kahit gaano kasama ang isang tao (No matter how bad a person is), gaano man kasama ang tingin ng iba sa atin or sa nagawa natin (however bad people see us or what we had done)…si God? He looks inside us…because He believes that the roots of love and kindness that He grew deep within us still remain and there will come a time, sprouts will grow again kahit paisa-isa lang (even just one at a time)…

God will never give up on you…

Grabe! The world may turn against you, but God will still believe and hope in you…

That’s the kind of God we have…

WHAT I WANT IS YOUR CONSTANT LOVE....

JOHN 17:3 (New American Bible)
“Now this is eternal life, that they should know You, the only true God, and the One whom You sent, Jesus Christ.”

(Magandang Balita Biblia)
“Ito ang buhay na walang hanggan: ang kilalanin Ka nila, ang iisa at tunay na Diyos, at si Jesu-Cristo na Iyong sinugo.”

In Hosea 6:5-6 (Good News Translation), God says
“…What I want from you is plain and clear: I want your constant love, not your animal sacrifices. I would rather have my people know Me than burn offerings to Me.”

We breath,
we live,
we love,
we serve,
we attend Mass or gatherings…
we do many things for the Lord…
But above all these...

do we get to know God deeper and deeper, not for the pleasure of it but because this is what He wants?

If knowing God is eternal life, then knowing Him here on earth is a foretaste of eternal life…and when we come face to face with God in heaven where we can have full knowledge of Him, then shall we have eternal life in full union with Him…

Huwag tayo tumigil sa pagkilala sa Diyos.

Pleasures and joy in serving God are just means, getting to know Him lovingly in doing them is the end…

Have a Moving Life! :-D

WHAT MATTERS...

 Inspiration: Sirach 40:18-27

Masaya ka ba sa work mo? (Are you happy with your job?)
Sa family mo? (With your family?)
Sa araw-araw mong ginagawa? (With what you do everyday?)
Pagod at bagot ka na ba?  (Are you already tired or irritated?)
Honestly, masaya ka ba?... (Are you happy?...)
Last Saturday, I watched a true story about Xerces and his younger brother, Ponso. They were very close but family problems and goals in life estranged them. Xerces is intelligent, finished college and worked for the family. Si Ponso, hirap mag-aral (had a hard time studying) and was contented with a simple job and doing household chores…

One day, Ponso died in an accident. The whole family was surprised, madaming nakiramay na natulungan ni Ponso at mga friends nya (many came to pay respect, those whom Ponso had helped and also his friends). Xerces realized as he cried:

“Ako ang mas matalino, pero si Ponso ang marunong sa buhay…” ("I am the intelligent one, but Ponso is the one who knows how to live...")

Nakakaiyak ang story nila…(They;re story is so touching...)

Sabi ni (As per) Peter Ng Kok Song, Singapore Finance Professional, who belongs to World Community for Christian Meditation:

“What matters more is being happy, not successful…
Success is just one ingredient of happiness…
Happiness is discovering and fulfilling your purpose in life…
I am not sure if I am successful, but I am sure I am happy because I found meaning in my work and I have experienced being loved and to love…”

Have a Smiling Heart!

ROAD TRIP EXPERT

Inspiration: John 16:12-15

One thing I learned in browsing on videos that could help me learn more about our business is:

There are lots of ways, tips, guidelines, and seminars done by experts. There are mentors I can ask. Nadaanan na nila (They had passed) the road I’m travelling now. All I have to do is magsipag (be industrious), listen and learn from them to avoid many mistakes and to equip me…to equip me…to persevere and not quit...

The same thing goes in real life. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth about God and about life. He guides us to the road that leads to truth and along that road, He uses road signs to help us: the Scriptures, lives of saints, inspired books, situations, lives of people like us, the teachings of the Church, and more…

Kaya lang madalas (But most often) we miss the road signs kaya naliligaw tayo (that's why we get lost), nahihirapan (find it hard), nadedelay (get delayed) in our travel.

Hey! Let’s give the Holy Spirit our full attention, wherever He is leading us, it’s 101% sure na makabubuti sa atin (that it's good for us), sa ating buhay (our lives), and sa ibang tao (other people)…and it’s always leading us closer to God…

Have a Marvelous Road Trip!
